Our Mission
Historical Pattern Works was founded on a simple belief: physical history should be accessible.
Too often, historically accurate reproductions are either prohibitively expensive or lack the level of detail required by serious collectors, reenactors, and institutions. Historical Pattern Works was established to bridge that gap — combining research-led accuracy with practical manufacturing to produce faithful reproductions that are both high in quality and accessible in price.
Each piece is developed with close reference to original patterns, surviving examples, and period documentation. The aim is not merely to create replicas, but to produce historically grounded objects that reflect the design, proportions and finish of their originals.
The workshop was founded by a History graduate of the University of Leicester, with a long-standing involvement in living history and reenactment. This academic background, combined with practical experience within the historical community, informs both the research process and the final finish of every piece.
From individual collectors and reenactors to museum gift shops and institutions, Historical Pattern Works is committed to producing accurate, durable reproductions that allow history to be handled, studied and displayed beyond the confines of glass cases.
